Haven’t had a chance to figure out the range and how it lives up to my needs yet, but I took the plunge.
According to the MFG, it should mow for 60 mins of light cutting, 45 mins of medium cutting, and 30 mins of heavy cutting. My yard is only .48 acres including the house, garage, and outer untamed areas.

I got one of those recently as well, but I got the manual one because I like to mow my own.

How do you like it so far? I wanted to go manual push as well, but the lady said she would help with yard duties if I got self propelled so the choice was easier. If left to my own devices I would have saved and went manual push though.

Q1 how do you charge it? removable battery?
Q2 how expensive are they?

I bought one a couple years ago, and I love it. Don’t expect to mow your yard on one charge though. My yard is half the size, and I can just barely mow the whole thing in one go.

Funny you mention that. I have the manual push one, and one of the completely unforeseen benefits of buying the electric mower, is now my wife usually mows the lawn before I even get a chance to do it. I did not see that coming.

Congrats on your purchase! Sounds like it should work well for your yard. Hopefully you can do everything without having to recharge in the middle.
I was just telling my wife the other day that I would love an electric mower. It’s going to be a long while for me though. There’s 1 all electric zero turn that I know of and it’s ~$25k...

56v 7.5 amp hr removable battery. It came with a quick charger too. Best part is you can fold the handle right up and hang it on the wall for easy storage. My gas push mower got flipped over and it hydro locked with oil, when I pulled the plug to fix it, it stripped the head out.

I got the 80V Greenworks mower two years ago. Love it. Have since added the blower, trimmer, and even the snow blower - and now have three batteries.
18" chainsaw is next.

Ryobi makes an electric rider for about 2.6k and will mow up to 2 or 2.5 acres per charge. (depends on model)

Similar situation happened at my sisters house ....it’s light, quiet, and starts with a button....the kids rarely mow the lawn anymore.

Full disclosure - I haven’t actually used it yet. The wife is the one who has had time to mow lately. She likes it. It’s so light that I felt it would be fine to get the pushmower version (lightweight was more for me than her ... she’s a paramedic practicing to pass the firefighter physical aptitude test, I’m a desk jockey XD ). We have a small yard so no problems with battery life. Once I get my shed put up I’m looking forward to being able to fold it up and hang it on the wall to save some space, too.
eta: also it’s hella quiet. Right up next to it sounds like a gas mower a block away.

how does the snow blower do in the cold battery wise? Or do you keep the batteries indoors?

I’ll be tempted to get one if prices continue to drop the next time I need a mower (probably another 5-10 years). The patch of grass in my yard isn’t all that big and seems like it would be perfect for an electric.

Interesting. I have probably 2.5 to 3 acres that I mow, which is ~2 hrs of run time with a zero turn.. so perhaps the future is closer than I expected.

Batteries are in the garage, never goes below ~45 or so. I have the 4-AH that has been out for 40+ minutes with the blower and battery compartment completely covered in snow and I don’t think it’s ever noticeably reduced it s charge. I have two additional 2-AH batteries so it’s never been an issue.
I got the blower for $175 on Amazon and it works amazingly well. If you get a really wet ‘N oreaster of 6+ inches it will choke on the heavy stuff, but 95% of the time it shoots the snow so far my neighbor complains.
